USB compatibility

Hello! Will the USB be compatible with full-speed devices? I've had some problems with some ARM boards and angstrom distribution, supporting only high-speed devices. Since FTDI usb-to-uart chips are full-speed usb some usb sticks cannot be recognized on such arm systems. On Raspberry for example those sticks are recognized but the board resets after live insertion.
i don't know if it's hw/driver/distribution problem, but take care of this, some sticks are very useful for embedded applications!

on that ARM system i get the following kernel log message :
"ehci-omap ehci-omap.0: port 1 cannot be enabled
ehci-omap ehci-omap.0: Maybe your device is not a high speed device?
ehci-omap ehci-omap.0: USB host (EHCI) controller does not support full speed or low speed device on it's root port.
ehci-omap ehci-omap.0: Please connect full/low speed device via a high speed hub."
it may be a distribution problem because no ohci driver is present. also in this case a usb hub would solve the problem, but there's no free space in the box for it. anyway that board is quite outdated, on the next year it will be changed with a newer one. i'll probably try to install our software on parallela when i get it, just to evaluate it as a possible replacement for a "high-end" version of our product. since for a light version raspberry (or similar) is good enough, i will try to use epiphany for an algorithm actually planned to be run offline on a remote PC.
