Hey all,

Excited to participate in the supercomputer.io green supercomputer thing, but it's hard to tell if the disk image is working.

I burned the image to an SD and it seems to work (green light flashing, etc.) and for a moment the board appears on my network (located via port scan) but there's no video output, and after a little while I can't ping the IP address anymore.

Is there any way to test or debug to see if the board is working? Should I be able to SSH into it using the "linaro" login like the other images?

I guess I could try the serial terminal, but let me know if there's another way, I don't have a convenient way to connect to the device that way.

From what you say it doesn't look promising. Have you managed to boot fine and login using one of the standard Linux images?

I've no idea if you can log in to the supercomputer.io systems. I'd ping the resin.io guys to see if they can help further diagnose, since it's using their infrastructure. Also double-check that you downloaded and wrote out the correct disk image, i.e. for the hardware variant you have.

If you can ping it, it is on and working.

The booting takes a while because it needs to download some extra data. For me it took about 1 hour for it to become visible on supercomputer.io. I also was not able to connect a screen to it (It says there is no signal).

I'm curious on the supercomputer.io developments. I'd love to see what the scientist are doing with it and what results they're getting. Also, I think more people will join if there is some kind of reward system (Uptime Hi-score, Random fun gifts, Exclusive participation magazines, Small bitcoin rewards, or whatever ).

I thought I had used the correct image (thought my board was 7010, was bought after the Kickstarter) but I'll try the other and see what happens.

I've used the board successfully with other images in the past so I think the board, PS, etc. are OK. If the 7020 image doesn't work I'll try one of the standard images again just to confirm.

I'll also dig in to the source and look-up any resin.io info I can find, as well as dig out my serial terminal stuff

Definately the 7010, so I had the right image the first time.

Going to re-burn the SD with the 7010 image (resin-supercomputer-0.1.0-0.0.14-Z7010-16.img) and dig out the serial console.
