Well, the plan was that Adapteva would notify us via email, once the boards ship. I do not know if notifications were sent to all eight of us or not, but I did not receive an email prior to receiving the board today. Regardless of the reasons, I am sure that moving forward Adapteva will do their best to notify folks, once their boards ship.

Since that book makes a better reference than a stand, I decided to temporarily use a piece of hard thick foam that came in the box and covered it with a spare mousepad.

got the package now.
trying to power it up, seems got nothing out of it.
no hdmi signal, no ethernet, serial, vga.

how to get started?

the serial does work, the problem is on my ubuntu laptop side (need to figure out the usb to serial tty name)
the zedboard also have problem to boot directly into linux.
stuck with unknown command, has to manually type "boot"
