What is the Parallella board for?

I love programing but I want to start doing parallel programing. I am doing a project for pjas at my school and I am doing password cracking. I want to use the epiphany to make this process faster. Is this effective and what else can I do with a parallella board. Can I overclock it?

Yes, you can overclock, but you would need to modify the FPGA logic...
