Parallella Community

I guess another cluster is in the works.

I don't really need them, but too cheap to pass up.

Are there any cluster cases for sale for more than 4 boards?

I'm not aware of any. I have been thinking of making a kit for a 16-node cluster, similar to the 4-node one. It's mainly a question of time, and getting a bunch more Parallellas in. I'll share details here and via Ground Electronics, obviously, if this happens.

Ok, thanks. I have the 4 node case from Ground Electronics, very nice case.

If that is your company, great job. Will probably order another 4 board case when I get these new parallellas in.

I found it worked very well for clusters, and I haven't encountered any issues with cooling.

I like the idea of the torus interconnect -- I'd be interested in seeing pictures once you are done.

My case also unfortunately blocks the porcupine board pins. I was thinking the board could be flipped upside down to make room (and just add additional connectors), but with the heatsink, there is no way it's going to fit cleanly.
