would it be possible to substitute the zynq by any other simple Intel or arm chip and drive the epiphany chip via http://www.xmos.com multicore controllers instead of FPGA? There is also a comparison between Xmos and FPGA on their page. The reason is that it seems far easier to program and has completely open source compiler implementation via llvm.
Also another question since as much as I'd love to learn electrical engineering I'm not sure how to connect these two fans which including sinks (17x17 zynq and 15x15 for epiphany) fit perfectly
See http://postimg.org/image/6liy3eyzl/9e6ed111/ I've turned them upside down so that they are clearly visible
http://www.sunon.com/uFiles/file/03_pro ... 3-W%29.pdf are the specs - ~15000rpm and they both look great!
Last but not least I hope you won't be doing parallella 2.0 since that would be superchristmas combined with socialism
