Buying Chips

I am working on a project where ultimately we will most likely need to design our own PCB. I am researching quite a few processing technologies and your Zynq + parallella chip architecture is quite interesting to me for many reasons including the open fabric of the FPGA to incorporate the interfaces of my choosing.

My ponderance is whether there is any plan to, or availability of the parallella chips by themselves? if so, where can I get them, and when might the 64 core variant be available?

Parallella is a computer and I think you are referring to the Epiphany chip, which has been available to purchase for some time via the .

For example, is there a specific reason you can't use the current 16-core device?
