UART connection

Hi there,

I need to take my Parallella travelling, and it would be useful to be able to connect it to my laptop via a USB <--> TTL connector. I have seen various people mention this, but is there a simple how-to which is up to date?

To answer my own question (just in case anyone finds this post by searching), this page explains how to connect the USB <--> TTL cable:



and this post explains how to modify the SD card to work with the serial connection:
