Total newbie - where do I start ?

Is there an idiots guide anywhere ? I assume that I'll use Ubuntu 14.04 on an SD card, but I've got no overview of it and unsure what to do next...

I'd use it as a Descktop PC.

any thoughts very welcome !

Hi Tim,

Firstly, carefully follow the instructions to . Take care not to miss a step, as when there are problems this is the most common cause.

When it comes to Linux/Ubuntu, there are plenty of introductory and how-to etc. guides out there, and of course the Ubuntu community. Also, you might want to see if there is a Linux User Group meets nearby, or perhaps a hackerspace that hosts workshops.

Once you've started to find your way around Linux a good place to start experimenting with the Epiphany would be via the examples provided in the and repositories.

I've been using Ubuntu for about 3 years for 98% of my computing, so I'm comfortable with that side.
I'll examine those links, which was exactly what I need I think !

I've not purchased the device yet. Which would be most suitable ? Desktop PC vesion 64 bit ?

I'm after an expandible computer.
