Would it be possible to link CAT5 directly from MAC to PARALLELA and then set the IP to manual in the Network tab?

I have been having intermitant USB problems on bootup. Power is not the issue because
I'm using a ps2 keyboard and mouse through a ps2 to usb adapter and the leds on the
keyboard and mouse light up mormally. The only workaround I found (after trying many
differant ones) is to simply unplug the board and try booting again. It takes up to about ten
times before the keyboard works for logging in. (man, I wish the parallella had a power switch)
The reset switch does not seem to help, only actually unplugging and replugging in the board helps.
Admittedly, not a very techy solution, but it works...eventaully.

I am having trouble with usb, too. Doesn't seem to recognize mouse nor keyboard. Mouse lights up, so its getting power. A powered hub does not seem to help. I haven't got it together enough to try serial port or Ethernet.
