Boot without epiphany plugged in ?

Hi,
I was wondering if the zedboard is supposed to boot properly if the epiphany FMC isn't plugged in ?
I would say yes, but OTOH, it's possible some kernel stuff would get stuck if it can't speak to the epiphany ...
Cheers,
Sylvain

Yes, I know it can boot from SDCard, but the question was about the exact SDCard image on ftp.parallella.org : Does that particular image need an epiphany FMC plugged in.
Maybe part of the programmable logic expects the epiphany chip, or maybe the custom linux kernel might expect an answer and just crash or wait indefinitely if it doesn't get it.

tnt,
I tried booting my ZedBoard several times without the Epiphany daughter card attached and Linux consistently hung, so your second assumption appears to be correct.

ubii,
Thanks for the confirmation. We'll check into why this might be happening and fix it.

tnt,
I can confirm that by commenting out the following line in /etc/rc.local, that the ZedBoard will boot Linux without the Epiphany daughter card installed.
sudo /home/linaro/work/scr/lclk_div4.elf
