It's mentioned that you can power the board from the 5v dc socket, and from a USB port if the load is light. Is it possible to power it from the 5v line on the power pec ?

I'll be plugging the board into a VME device that can provide 5v@2A, and it would be kind of nice if I didn't have to separately power the parallella. USB wasn't even a twinkle in some designers eye when this device was made, so that option is out.

Great! The mounting hole thing is a really good idea, so presumably the bridge-able one is +5v and the others are ground then.
