Simon, where is the nice README that we used to have on the older "epiphnay-sdk" repo? Specifically, the list of prerequisite packages?

Do the directories and/or zip files for binutils, gdb, cgen exist in the directory? Also are you running the build-toolchain that the download script downloaded?

If the zip files exist but directories don't, is unzip installed?

All repos were downloaded and unzipped correctly.

While we are at it, it looks like the download-toolchain.sh script, when run from the epiphany-sdk repo at which it was downloaded, downloads and extracts the repos locally, by default. This means that now we have a cluttered epiphany-sdk directory, which by itself includes another copy of the epihany-sdk repo.

Obviously, the intention was to assign an install path when running download-toolchain.sh, but for lazy users like me, can we add the logic to download and extract in an adjacent directory?

This actually explains the confusion. I cd to sdk and run build-toolchain.sh from there. Now it seems to run w/o that error. Let's see how it finishes the build.
