Headless vs Display Ubuntu Parallella

Postby Marcinus » Mon Nov 23, 2015 6:46 pm

Hello.
I'm newbie in Parallella. I want to get know what's better to install, Ubuntu for headless or with hdmi. I have 7010 model, and I've checked the version with display. But few times I saw that it's not stable. I'm not sure, what I have to do to run headless version.
I downloaded this image " Ubuntu 14.04 Parallella (Zynq7010) headless image (Jan 30th 2015 release, 515MB)" and burn with steps in instruction. Then what I have to do to work with this? I'm also new user in Linux, but I wish start this board. Please help me with some easy explanations :) .

Best regards,
Marcinus.

It depends on your use case. If you want or need a display like a desktop, use the one with an HDMI display. This is your best bet since you said you are new to Linux.
