Hi all,
The Porcupine is alive and well (and tested!) and this week we will receive a number of them fully assembled. In order to keep the cost down the plan is to sell these boards as kits, with all the surface-mount connectors and resistors assembled and the headers in a bag. Depending on your application you can add just the connectors you need. The kit will include connectors for PMOD, 2xGPIO, JTAG, "Miscellaneous" (J2), and "Mounting-hole power" (J4), but not J3 or the eLInk connectors J8-J11. If you have multiple Parallellas and want to experiment with the eLinks those connectors and their mates are available from the usual distributors.
The kits won't be available for purchase for some time, in the mean time we have some fully assembled boards available for free to folks who are doing interesting open-source projects. If you are interested, post a short description of your project , and we'll get back to you!
Edit: New thread to post requests.
