Creating the SD card problems

Hi everyone, I am trying to do Step 2 on the Parallella Quick Start Guide. However, my Win32 Disk Imager is not responding whenever I try to write the image. Here is what I have done. Please let me know if you see my problem or anything that would help me out. I would appreciate it.

1. Downloaded Win32 from this site: http://www.softpedia.com/get/CD-DVD-Too ... ager.shtml

2. Downloaded the 3rd file from this: ftp://ftp.parallella.org/sd_images (the one before the torrent)

3. Unzipped(Extracted) that file

4. Inserted my SD card into the laptop

5. Opened Win32 and searched for the file that I just unzipped, and then I pressed "Write". Then the program froze and aid "Not Responding"

Do you guys have any explanations or advice? I would GREATLY appreciate it

The basic steps appear fine, except for the fac the last one is not working. I have, however, seen many reports of problems using the SD readers built into laptops.

Most users report success using (very cheap) external USB SD card reader/writers.

I'm using a 32 GB Scandisk SD card

Do we have to "mount" the file or something?

DO I have to do anything with the rootfs.tar.gz file?

On Raspberry Pi's website, it says that the SD card needs to be properly formatted. Is this also true for Parallella? If so, how do I format it correctly?

So you've inserted an SD card and now managed to successfully write out the .img file using Win32 Disk Imager, before copying on those 3 files?

I don't understand why it says 126 MB. Shouldn't it say 32 GB?
