It's been asked about several times on the KS pages, and they've always skipped over it. They won't take 15min to write all the promised shipping updates, so I seriously doubt they've taken any time to write a book. BTW, that goes for the forums too. They haven't given a definitive answer on this section of the forum in months, so don't hold your breath for a response that's not 100% speculative.

Eventhough promise is a promise, I don't understand the insist on a book. Usually a book is about a thing that is clearly understood by the author. Apparently, parallel is not. So start exploring the forums and other web pages, I bet if you spend time thinking, reading discussions and experimenting, you could write your own book in 3 months. this is what I will do to start.

I got a copy of the book myself, but I don't mind getting the board before the book for the reason mentioned above. Plus, there are plenty of examples in C on github, so it's not like you are left completely in the dark on that front.
Is the book late? Yes. Will it be delivered? Yes. Will moping do anything to change matters? No.

Since the board takes priority over the book, the eta of the book will follow after that of the board.
