Enabling Voltage Level Shifters between PS-PL

Postby Kalicutt » Tue Dec 29, 2015 3:12 pm

Hello,

I am modifying the default HDMI Zynq 7020 Vivado project for the Parallella (found here: viewtopic.php?f=49&t=3180) in order to accommodate a daughterboard.

I routed an SPI module inside the processing system to the physical layer, and am having some trouble getting it to be at the desired voltage. Setting the pin bank voltage that the SPI pins are on does not have an effect on their logic levels. I have read that when routing PS modules to the PL that voltage level shifters have to be enabled to transition between the voltage supplies. I have also read that this can only be done in the FSBL, which I believe is flashed onto the ROM of the Parallella. Is there a way to get around this without having to modify the ROM?

I have successfully flashed the ROM and added PS-PL voltage level shifters, see the post viewtopic.php?f=51&t=3394 for current status of my problem.
