I didn't know that there is such a monitor.
I thought 1280x720 is de facto standard for 16:9 monitors because it is required for game consoles.
I should change my idea.

OK, I have re-written the first post in this series to reflect what I have learnt in this discussion, so it offers a simple guide to running these parallella examples, as intended.
Thanks to aolofsson and shodruk for all the help, much of what I have written is cribbed from their writings, and just put into a simple linear order.

Hi, I'm having trouble with the pushd part. I'm on #2. The box after "Compile and run the Mandlebrot drawing example :" works perfectly fine, no issues. However, after, I press <Cntrl><Alt><F2> and log in, I'm not able to run the program. I've attached a link to a picture of what I tried.
