Any image of the new ESDK in Desktop?

Postby MiguelTasende » Thu Jul 16, 2015 8:52 pm

Hi!
I wanted to know if anyone has a "Desktop" image with the latest ESDK.
I suppose I could try to upgrade the SDK in the current Desktop image or "desktopify" a current Microserver image, but as my first attempt at upgrading the SDK failed by now, and I am working on getting some cluster work with the Epiphanys, it would be a "delayed job", and if someone has already done it, could be very helpful.

The problem, in fact is this:
I have 1 parallella desktop and 2 paralllella microserver.
I configured them in a cluster. I use MPI between nodes, and the ESDK inside the nodes. The problem is that I can't make the 3 nodes work because they have different versions of the ESDK.
I can have a 3 node ARM cluster, or a 2 node ARM-Epiphany cluster, but I want a 3 node ARM-Epiphany cluster :)

I thin someone tried but didn't workout.

AFAIK the FPGA image with video support uses the old e-link logic which isn't compatible with the new SDK.

The quickest way would be to run all systems headless and login to them from your laptop. Both microserver and desktop can use the same image.
