Hi,

I am considering how to network boot the parallella boards, to avoid use of the SD card. From the serial console, I am reasonably sure I can save the correct environment variables to tftpboot the device, and then we can apply the LTSP method of net booting minus many of the unnecessary services like X11. This would use a NBD (network block device) for the root filesystem. Opinions on the strategy of acquiring the devicetree and FPGA bin? I would think that we can use loadb in uboot to load these two files prior to loading uImage and the initrd from from the LTSP generated image, and then hand off the process to LTSP. Also, is there an option to store the three required files onboard (other than SD card) somewhere that uboot can read them?

Cheers,
Scott
