Problems with serial login and possibly booting

My Parallella has a problem with boot reliability by enabling serial console.
Adapteva should include both of the dtb files (with serial console, without serial console) in the kernel tarball, so that we can switch them easily.

e.g.

sudo cp devicetree.uart.dtb devicetree.dtb

sudo cp devicetree.hdmi.dtb devicetree.dtb

(the default devicetree.dtb : without serial console version)

I haven't got a linux system handy and can't be bothered firing my parallella up now (it's after midnight) so I haven't done a diff but I'm guessing this means that this - https://github.com/parallella/parallell ... 3f65cad205 is now out of date?

Ditto - thanks for the instructions, shodruck.
You make it sound so easy I'll play around and move on.

It seems that you only really need the UART/USB for troubleshooting and/or setting up the headless system in the first place.
Once the network is in place the cable is going to be unplugged.
