Serial Cable Connection

This is the serial cable that I have used with the Parallella:

Connect the white (RX) wire to the Parallella's TX pin
Connect the green (TX) wire to the Parallella's RX pin
Connect the black (GND) wire to the Parallella's GND pin
Do not connect the red power wire to the Parallella.

Connection to the Parallella is 115,200 bits per second, eight data bits, no parity, one stop bit (8N1)

How to make Ubuntu Run Faster

I have had a great deal of trouble with uUSB and uHDMI adapters:

The default adapter version that comes up is too wide and BREAKS THE CONNECTOR with the uHDMI there too, since the connectors are so close. They went back to Amazon and were replaced by the 5 inch size version.

uHDMI adapter:

These blank the screen but no text, tried on multiple monitors that have only dvi and vga no hdmi, so you have to use an adapter from dvi. Adapteva is investigating a working combo.
