USB connector

After seeing the latest released pictures of the Parallella board (Project update #28), can I ask is the USB connector a purely surface mount device? We have had issues in the past with our own (and other) boards where a little careless handling can cause a s/m USB connector to be pulled off.

Pull off that USB Connector? We always use that type and never had problems in our company! How much force is needed to pull it off?

On an s/m ethernet connector we measured over 3kg to pull that off after a complaint from a customer...
I personally think that is not a real problem. Just be a bit careful

Thanks for the heads-up on the problems with some micro USB connectors. We will definitely make sure the Parallella board is robust.
