Using OpenCL extensions - memcopy

Postby nickoppen » Mon Dec 29, 2014 9:23 am

How does one use OpenCL extensions - specifically memcopy?

A number of examples (e.g. mandelbrot and matmul) use memcopy and there are no clues as to how to include them in compile or link.

There are two candidates as far as I can see: e32_opencl_ext.h and coprthr_device.h but they churn out reems of compile errors for other included files.

Any clues?

Hi Gideon,

DAR's reply to your other post http://forums.parallella.org/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=28&start=20&sid=8513c4481c08023e28d6546e9ba5f45b is the best I've got.

It didn't seem very encouraging. I was going to have a look at MPI anyway so I'll try and figure out what he is driving at.

Did not mean to be discouraging. If you get a chance can you send the full output of compiler errors you see as a text file to dar at browndeertechnology dot com. I am just curious. If its an easy fix, I would like to help. Its just been some time since these extensions were tested.

Link to a paper on threaded MPI can be found here if interested or just curious:
