For the record, the e-gcc in esdk.5.13.07.10_linux_armv7l.tgz works fine.

The 5.13.09.10 revision was built for Ubuntu 12.04 and later. The two versions are not interchangeable, as you can read in the file.

Well, I'm running Ubuntu 12.10. Does it not work on later versions than 12.04?

That would be weird, since the older release does.
