correct that no efunctions are used. so the question is what happens when print is executed...

yes, you should look at the batch-files test.sh and run.sh, those are clear text files showing what command-line operations are performed. to compile an epiphany program e-gcc must be used. to execute it again a similarly adaped program is used. so the program is running on epiphany which has no connection to screen or the linux-os, but yet c-lib function print gets executed? it's logical print should not be renamed into e-print, print is part of the c-syntax. but it still is part of the e-sdk in a way...
however, I am not sure if the program e-run really uploads this test to epiphany or if it will just run in an emulator. either way, it is a valid test since the code is executed under the same conditions as if it would run on epiphany. and I know for certain there is a program which is capable of placing that example on epiphany and running it there...
