linux socket.h on epiphany?

Hello everyone,

I'm trying to build my code for epiphany, I'm using linux built-in sys/socket.h for communication via UDP packets. I've moved it successfully from my x86 to ARM, but now I need to run my apps on epiphany, but e-gcc fails at ‪#‎‎include <sys/socket.h>. Is there some easy solution, or I need to compile socket support from ubuntu kernel? (never did anything like that)

The Epiphany SDK doesn't provide any IP functionality AFAIK and I suspect that, given each Epiphany core has 32KB local memory, you would need to find a suitably lightweight IP stack, e.g. as used with microcontrollers.

Although it would surely make more sense to simply use the IP stack on the ARM/Linux and leave the Epiphany to do what it does best, the floating-point heavy lifting.
