Thanks a lot for this in-depth explanation.

As my problem is really fixed on input, I could even use hard coding number to bypass any of theses limitations, but I'm always reluctant to have a code which is too specific and not reusable. Especially, if someone else is interested in my (bad) code since this platform is young.

Knowing that there are no division instruction would help me a lot for other project

The logic design was pretty trivial. My beef was with the layout and area overhead. From a chip layout standpoint it is highly irregular.(bad for custom design) From an area/power standpoint it was a lot of stuff that was only used for a very specific application.
