I almost always use crosscompile on native x86-64 laptop. it has been awhile though.
I made some modification here, https://github.com/ed2k/epiphany-sdk, and the examples etc.
by glance, didn't see anything wrong, key here is, e-gcc need to be your build system cpu. e-libs needs to be arm (host) and the e-core program build by e-gcc. All these things generated on your build system (x86-64)
I also used gcc-arm-linux-gnueabihf come from ubuntu 12.10
