Using a mini table top fan for cooling

Postby karthikvm » Wed Jul 16, 2014 3:17 pm

Hi,

I got the parallela deasktop board(model A1010xx) recently. I believe it needs a fan to cool the board components. I do have a mini table top fan which does a pretty much good job of pushing the air. I have other accessories except this fan. Can I go ahead and use this fan to cool the board or should go for a mini cpu fan? How much is optimal temperature range for the board? are there any specifics about the amount of airflow needed? Kindly let me know.

Thanks for your time,
karthik

The table top fan will almost certainly be more than sufficient when pointed at the Zynq heatsink, as only a very small amount of airflow is required.
