Wanna play with expansion slots. Is there simple way to connect either LED set or Servo?

At present, unless you make your own Samtec BTH breakout board, I believe you would have to get one from Zebax.

Once you have the means of breaking out a PEC you then have the option of using:

With the latter you could access pins via sysfs, for example. I'd also make sure you have a recent FPGA bitstream (all those presently linked to from the SD card instructions have single-ended GPIO support).

Cheers,

I made my own at dirtypcbs.com for just 14$ - 10 PCBs. I can start with the software now...

Very nice!!! That's a really good looking breakout board. Beautiful symmetry. :D

The symmetry is actually functional. I can tile with four boards to get the 100mil raster for the header connectors ;)

Nice, I tried the same with my breakout board, one tile with one Samtec connector, but it was not very stable. But with your layout it should be fairly stable, If you solder the header connectors for the two opposite tiles in your second image, or if you use some screws and screw-nuts to secure it.

btw, the Parallella is symmetrical in both direction, so could you fit four at the same time?

Yes, a tile of four is possible, that's why the 3mm mechanical holes are positioned so near to match the mounting holes on the other side. I have yet to test the electrical characteristics, but if someone wants to order the PCBs, I can put my gerbers somwhere. I got mine from dirtypcbs.com in 3 weeks after order.
